Empire
These were done in my first years at Forge World. We did some projects for Warhammer Fantasy and I believe this was for an extension called Black Fire Pass, which didn’t came out in the end.
But the miniatures did! I love Warhammer Fantasy and it was amazing to do this characters for resin production. I could go crazy on the details and even did the chainmail out of actual metal wire. Ok, it’s a bit mad, but nobody complaint about it.
I did also my first tests with a shrinking resin. It’s called Hydropmorph 400 and is a resin that you mix with water. You do a casting with this resin/water mix, the water evaporates and voila, you get a shrunken copy of your original sculpture (You need to remold it of course and cast again).
Traditional sculpting was great, but I always wanted more and finer. A bit obsessive I guess, I like to think I got over this by now. But it was great fun and this experiments were the only possibility to adjust the size of a face for example.
